The Michelin Guide to announce 2027 PH restaurant selections in October

The Michelin Guide is back for another year in the Philippines!

On Thursday, the prestigious guide announced it will hold a ceremony on October 29 at 5 p.m. at the Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts to announce its 2027 restaurant selections in the country.

According to the Michelin Guide, its inspectors have extended their search into Manila’s environs, and “their latest discoveries point to a dining scene gathering momentum in intriguing ways — with new voices emerging, established talents taking unexpected turns, and Philippine cuisine appearing in forms both anchored in heritage and distinctly of the moment,” the guide said on its website.

“Manila continues to lead with chef-driven restaurants, tasting menus, and ambitious contemporary concepts, while Cebu draws strength from its lechon, seafood, charcoal-grilled dishes, and convivial home cooking,” it added.

Like the previous year, the Philippine selection for 2027 will include restaurants from Manila and Environs and Cebu.

The Michelin Guide debuted its inaugural selection for the Philippines last year, with over 70 restaurants included in the 2026 selection. Twenty-five were named Bib Gourmand awardees, while nine restaurants received the highly coveted stars. Helm by Chef Joshua Boutwood received the country’s highest distinction with two Michelin Stars.
