Red to be worn at Bb. Pilipinas Universe’s homecoming in Cotabato

Red shirts will highlight the hero's welcome being prepared for Bb. Pilipinas Universe winner Mary Jean "MJ" Lastimosa in her home province of Cotabato when she returns there April 8.

The provincial government said it has coordinated arrangements with the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. for Lastimosa's homecoming.

"Fans are advised to wear red shirts as a symbol of MJ’s triumph and the people’s warm welcome for her," it said on its social networking page.

Lastimosa's homecoming itinerary includes a courtesy call to Cotabato Governor Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza at her office and a special appearance at the opening of “Sayaw Kutawato 2014” at the provincial gym.

The "Sayaw Kutawato" is a major event of the province's centennial celebration.

Lastimosa is also slated to visit patients of the recently inaugurated new building of the Cotabato Provincial Hospital (CPH) and the Crisis Intervention Center (CIC).

Governor Mendoza also arranged for fan and autograph signings to show Lastimosa's appreciation for the support her fellow Cotabateños gave her.

Lastimosa is also expected to return to Cotabato to mark the province’s 100th founding anniversary on September 1. — Joel Locsin/BM, GMA News
