WATCH: ‘We Are All God's Children,’ official theme song for 2015 Papal Visit

What better way for Filipinos to show their unity than through a song?

In the case of Pope Francis' visit to the Philippines in January, that song would be "We Are All God's Children," penned and sung by multi-awarded actress-singer Jamie Rivera, with music by Noel Espenida.

Rivera told GMA News in August that upon finding out about the Papal visit, she called Archbishop Socrates Villegas, president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines, to ask if she could write a song for the event.

Rivera was the voice behind "Tell the World of His Love," the official theme song of the 1995 World Youth Day, attended in Manila by now-Saint John Paul II.

"We Are All God's Children," she said, was inspired by the humility showcased by Pope Francis.

It carries the message of "solidarity with the poor and mercy to the weak," Rivera said. "We should help the poor with joy and humility."

As in "Tell the World of His Love," the official song for the 2015 Papal visit has actions and gestures choreographed by Yolanda Juan.

Rivera and Espenida have also made the music score of the song for the public's use.
