On its third year running, the Filipino ReaderCon Reader's Choice Award “was established to develop awareness and appreciation of Philippine literature, recognize the reader’s role in creating the meaning and experience of a literary work, and give the readers a voice in the Philippine book industry,” according to the Filipino Readercon blog.

There are three phases in determining the winners: nominations (Aug. 4 - 18), public voting (Aug. 20 – Sept. 10), and panel judging (Sept. 26 – Oct. 26). The judges panel is made up of Filipino readers and book bloggers.

Winners will be announced at the Filipino ReaderCon in November. They will get to use the Filipino ReaderCon seal on the covers of their books and will receive an award. — BM, GMA News
