PHLPost issues commemorative stamps for Cebu's USC College of Engineering
The Philippine Postal Corp. has released commemorative stamps to mark the 75th anniversary of the University of San Carlos' College of Engineering in Cebu City.
PHLPost said it printed 104,000 copies of the commemorative stamps using imported unwatermarked paper, in P10 denomination.
Featured on these stamps are a photo of the facade of the Fr. Lawrence Bunzel Building with the USC emblem and the "75 years" logo of the College of Engineering.
"Marking the milestone of 75 years for USC College of Engineering is an important event especially for all Carolinian engineers. Not only does it indicate the passage of time but it also signifies the maturity and quality of the University in developing and nurturing future engineers," it said.
PHLPost said the College is now "more than ever poised to appropriately answer the urgent call for reforms in our educational system, which would positively impact the quality of our engineering graduates and professionals."
"To this end, the College understands the utmost importance of the recognition of its engineering graduates and professionals to be on par with their international counterparts," it said. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
