European brands take center stage for this week’s round-up, featuring a clothing and accessory brand that started in Portugal, a French skincare line, and one of Spain’s leading women’s intimate apparel label.
Pull&Bear

Pull&Bear's goal is comfy casual. Pull&Bear
Young fashion brand Pull & Bear opens this October at SM Megamall's Fashion Hall. Pull & Bear’s first-ever store in the country takes the look and concept of a Palm Springs-inspired ambiance. The front stands out as one of the store’s most unique features—traditional glass block or paved block, creating a spotlight that welcomes each customer. Putting out the traditional shop window, the façade will turn the heads of every passerby with projected images inviting them to come and visit the store.
The store also flaunts its DIY and industrial look: painted concrete, OSB, and pine wood alongside textured walls and other decorative items that create a rich backdrop of colors and materials. As for lighting, the store accentuates a variety of decorative lamps to create a unique environment.
The 872 square meter store space will display the brand’s latest and hippest collections from the women’s and men’s lines.
Since 1991, Pull&Bear has aimed to attract young people committed to their personal style. The brand's goal is to dress its adherents dress casually and comfortably by combining international trends with street and club fashion influences, then showing off the reinterpreted style at affordable prices.
Pull&Bear is current and always on the lookout for new technologies, social movements and the latest trends in arts and music. It promises the Filipino stylephile a variety to choose from.
The opening of the Pull&Bear store represents another success within the brand’s expansion strategy in Southeast Asia. The fashion commercial expansion of stores is already available at prime locations in Asian countries such as Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Women's Secret

Women's Secret's fall collection is going for minimal with a touch of color. Women's Secret
Women’s Secret set a trend by offering the very first specialized underwear in Spain. It then became one of the leading Spanish brands for women’s underwear, lingerie, and swimwear. It is designed for the contemporary woman, for whom age and size does not matter.
Since the first store opened in 1992, the brand has continued to grow. Being present in more than 45 countries with over 600 stores has enabled the company to recognize the needs of women globally, and its products reflect the brand’s accumulated knowledge throughout two decades.
For its Fall 2014 collection, Women’s Secret uses colors and contrasts of natural fabrics. The comfortable and feminine garments have stark contrasts that break the minimalism to enhance the delicate details. Cozy and soft fabrics surprise us with a touch of color, adding a vibrant vibe to a very feminine collection.
Women’s Secret products are now available in Metro Manila and other provincial department stores nationwide. Priced competitively with other imported garments, this new line hopes to become another alternative for the discerning Filipina.
Bioderma
“Biology at the service of dermatology” is a mission statement upheld by French skincare brand Bioderma. Founded by pharmacist-biologist Jean Noel Thorel, Bioderma claims to live by one philosophy: when skin suffers, it should be taught to live according to its natural biology, more than to treat it.
Bioderma’s extensive and long-standing research led them to understand skin’s behavior and original functioning. This led them to create products that not only correct skin disorders, but also act on the skin’s natural biological processes for self-restoration.
The skincare range comes in five categories designed to address common skin concerns.
The Atoderm, for dry to atopic skin, products under this range provides a soothing solution and optimal skin hydration.
The Sensibio, for sensitive, intolerant and allergic skin, these products offer combinations of ingredients in a range of texture adapted to the skin’s biology.
The Sebium, for acne-prone and blemished skin, provides treatment and solution for combination to oily skin.
The Cicabio, for damaged and irritated skin, wherein products offer rapid epidermal repair.
Lastly, the Photoderm range, which combats sun damage and activates the skin’s natural defense.
Bioderma is available at select dermatological clinics and soon in Watsons stores in Metro Manila. — VC, GMA News
