Still think your 25-centavo coins are not worth much? This tiangge in Ilocos Norte province should help change your mind.
Families in Laoag City are flocking to the tiangge that sells 25-centavo items, including clothes, shoes, slippers and toys, GMA Ilocos reported.
The tiangge is a program of the Bankers Association of Laoag City and Ilocos Norte (BALCIN), which seeks to encourage residents to buy items using barya (loose change).
Here's the catch, though: the tiangge is open to selected families.
It also allows participating families to buy only 12 items worth 25 centavos each. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
