With less than two weeks to go before Valentine's Day, the Philippine Postal Corp. issued a special set of stamps for the occasion.

The comic strip-themed stamps seek to narrate how a couple not only falls in love but stays in love.

"These special stamps accentuate Cupid’s role in how two people fall in love, and stay in love forever," it said.

It added the stamps, illustrated by in-house graphic artist Rod Teodoro, will be the first comic strip-style stamps issued for the occasion of hearts.

PHLPost said the Valentine's Day stamps were rolled out as early as Jan. 14, one month before V-Day.

Some 64,000 copies of these special stamps were printed and will be sold in P10 denominations, PHLPost said.

Express delivery

Meanwhile, PHLPost said it is offering an express delivery for flowers and other novelty items.

It said a dedicated team of letter carriers dubbed the Express Elite Force, will deliver items via Domestic Express Mail Service with a same-day delivery within Metro Manila and other committed areas.

An exhibit and a one-stop shop for Valentine's Day delivery will also be set up. — Joel Locsin/BM, GMA News
