Winwyn didn't win: Pre-pageant favorite shut out of Binibining Pilipinas top crowns

Winwyn didn't win.

That was perhaps the biggest stunner of the Binibining Pilipinas 2015 Grand Coronation night on Sunday.

Instead, Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez found herself on the outside looking in when the top winners were announced.

Fellow pre-pageant favorites Pia Wurtzbach and Janicel Lubina took home the top prizes, winning the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe and Bb. Pilipinas-International titles, respectively.

Christi McGarry was named Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental, Rogelie Catacutan was Bb. Pilipinas Supranational, while Ann Lorraine Colis was Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism.

Hannah Sison was First Runner-Up while Kimverlyn Suiza was Second Runner-Up.

Marquez, a niece of former Miss International Melanie Marquez and the child of showbiz stars Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno, was a fan favorite heading into the competition. She looked like a strong contender after winning several special awards earlier in the show: Best in Talent, Best in Casual Wear, and Best in National Costume. —JST, GMA News
