Special Advertising Feature: Another successful StarServe Charity Dinner at Resorts World Manila

 

Resorts World Manila (RWM), the country’s first integrated resort offering numerous lifestyle alternatives, hosted the sixth StarServe Charity Dinner—with local celebrities serving around 170 guests at The Plaza in Newport Mall last Sunday, March 15.

Presented this year by Digicon Events and RWM, StarServe is an annual event that aims to raise funds for selected beneficiaries in the country. For 2015, the chosen recipients were the Lola Grande Foundation For Women and Children, Inc., a feminist group that empowers today’s modern women via the development of values and skills; and Acay Mission Philippines, which offers a second chance to youths at risk through creative and innovative pedagogical methods leading to quality lives. StarServe 2015 donated P50,000 each to the beneficiary charities.

Among the stars who graciously served guests during the event were Divine Smith, Mark Mabasa and Friends, TJ Marquez, Bianca Valerio, Sabrina Orial, Chris Everingham, Sam Oh, Marvelous Alejo, Martin Escudero, and Franco Mabanta.  

Food sponsors for the sixth StarServe included Krazy Garlik, Mr. Kurosawa, Johnny Chow, Recipes, Fruitas, Baskin-Robbins, and Jamaican Patty.

More upcoming events at the country’s premier lifestyle hub are slated this summer including the superb family entertainment for the World Puppetry Day 2015 celebrations at The Plaza in Newport Mall, featuring the ASEAN Puppetry Exhibit from March 19-21, 12 noon to 9 p.m.; Wanlu’s Battle of Ventriloquist Year 4 on March 20, 4 p.m.; and a tribute to National Artist Manuel Conde on March 21, 4 p.m.

Also more international concerts happen this March at the Newport Performing Arts Theater including reggae superband Big Mountain on March 20 and pop veterans Go West on March 25.
