PHLPost said it will start issuing the special stamps starting Wednesday, March 25, to highlight the year-long tourism campaign.
“The Visit Philippines 2015 special stamps will be issued to boost the current campaign of the Department of Tourism to awaken international interest on various destinations and attractions in the country,” Postmaster General Josefina dela Cruz said.
Some 39,850 copies of the special stamps will be circulated. The stamps are printed by Amstar Inc. using imported unwatermarked paper.
Each stamp will be sold at P10.
Featured on the stamp is the official "Visit Philippines 2015" logo, with the message "Visit the Philippines Year" in the background.
PHLPost also said the campaign also aims to boost the Philippine tourism slogan, “It’s More Fun in the Philippines.”
"The Philippines is famous for diving, trekking, and magnificent scenic spots. Everyone can enjoy and experience the festivities, culture and adventure while visiting the country," it said.
The stamp will measure 25 by 50 mm, and will be available starting March 25 at all PHLPost post shops. — Joel Locsin/BM, GMA News
