The Our Lady of The Holy Rosary Parish partnered with Micara Land, Inc. in staging the Easter "Salubong" at Micara Estates-Tanza, Brgy. Sahud-Ulan, Tanza, Cavite, last April 5, 2015, attended by approximately 1,000 people.
“Salubong” is a tradition of Catholics that highlights the meeting of Jesus Christ and Mary after his resurrection. Happening at dawn of Easter Sunday, “Salubong” begins with two separate processions of the menfolk carrying the statue of Resurrected Christ and of the womenfolk who carry the statue of the Blessed Mother covered in a black veil. Afterwards, a young female angel will remove the black veil from the face of the Blessed Mother, which is followed immediately by the singing of Hallelujah. The Easter Sunday mass is celebrated then.
For this year, the two processions which began at the chapels of Starfish (women) and Capipisan (men) met at the entrance of Micara Estates-Tanza at around 4:30 a.m. The mass, which was presided by Father Eleomer G. Dendiego, started at 4:45 a.m. and lasted until 6:15 a.m.
The jurisdiction of the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish includes fourteen chapels in Amaya: Bagong Pook, Bejia, Calibuyo, Capipisa, Garden Coast, Greenville, Halayhay, Lambingan, Matabok, Munting Amerika, Postema, Sahud-Ulan, Starfish, and Summercrest.
The parish chose Micara Estates-Tanza as the setting for this religious gathering this year because of its strategic location, accessibility, and spacious open area.

Micara Estates-Tanza is proud to be the host of this significant Catholic tradition as it seeks to develop a community that features live, work, learn, play and worship within the Estate or in close proximity. In a statement, Mark Joseph Arisgado, marketing manager of Micara Land, Inc., said that “We intend to work closely with the Holy Rosary Parish for future activities like this. Supporting church activities is central developing the caring community we envision for Micara Estates-Tanza.”
