Netizens share 'hugot' lines on Miss Universe announcement mishap

Filipino Netizens on Monday rejoiced over Philippines bet Pia Wurtzbach's win in the Miss Universe pageant. But this did not stop them from sharing their thoughts on the announcement mix-up that happened. 

Host Steve Harvey initially announced Miss Colombia Ariadna María Gutiérrez Arévalo as the Miss Universe and Wurtzbach as the first-runner up. Harvey went on stage again and said he made a huge mistake: He announced the wrong winner and Wurtzbach is Miss Universe 2015. This is after Arévalo had her moment, having worn the crown for four minutes. Harvey, nonetheless, owned up to his mistake and apologized.

Already dubbed as one of the worst TV moments of 2015, the mishap at Miss Universe inspired netizens to share their own versions of "Miss Colombia" moments on Twitter using the hashtag #ColombiaZoned, as if empathizing with Arévalo.

Arévalo, although tearful, smiled and said she is still happy that she almost reached her dream.
