‘Kaloka di ba?’: Wurtzbach mentor says Miss Germany lied to PHL team
The mentor of newly-crowned Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach claimed on Tuesday (Philippine time) that Miss Germany Sarah-Lorraine Riek did "something bad" to his group after the coronation.
In a Facebook post, Mercator Artist & Model Management president and manager Jonas Gaffud said that Riek lied to his team about Wurtzbach's whereabouts after the pageant.
"Pia asked us to go to her suite as Miss Universe. While waiting for the go signal from security, she [Riek] told us: '[A]re you looking for Miss Philippines? She's no longer here she's on her way to New York!'" he wrote.
Gaffud explained that Wurtzbach had just messaged them to go to her suite and celebrate with her.
"She [Riek] answered, '[H]ow could she text you? She's already in the plane. I saw her!'," he added.
But of course Gaffud and the rest of the Philippine team did not listen to her and went on up to the suite to celebrate with the third Filipina to win the Miss Universe title.
So surprised with Miss Germany. She did something bad to our group. Pia asked us to go to her suite as Miss Universe....

The post came after Miss Germany shared her dismay over the results of the pageant and claimed that none of the Miss Universe candidates voted for Wurtzbach.
"I really couldn't believe it, I was so upset. For me [Miss Colombia was robbed] as the real winner. I was very happy for Miss Colombia because she really deserved it. I'm really not happy with the result and so are the other girls, I'm sorry to say it," Riek said in an interview with Missosology's Natalia Cruz.
Host Steve Harvey had mistakenly proclaimed Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo the winner, a gaffe he had to backtrack on three minutes later. He later apologized to both Wurtzbach and Gutierrez.
Miss Germany's Facebook page issued an apology for Riek's statements, but the post as well as the page have already been taken down. — Trisha Macas/BM, GMA News
