Are you the next Pia? Bb. Pilipinas 2016 now accepting applications

Are you confidently beautiful with a heart? If you've got the determination and fierceness of current Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, it's time to put those heels on and get ready for the stage.

Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. chairperson Stella Marquez Araneta announced on Tuesday that they are now accepting applications for Binibining Pilipinas 2016.

The pageant is open to single women from 17 to 26 years old who are at least high school graduates and who are Filipino citizens.

Interested ladies should prepare the following:

• Filled-out application form, which can be downloaded at www.bbpilipinas.com or picked up at the PCI Office (Uniprom Inc., Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City)
• Photos: One close up and one full-body
• Birth certificate
• Philippine passport
• College or High School diploma
• Medical certificate
• Certificate of good moral character
• Parents' consent if the interested applicant is below 18 years old

Applications are accepted on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The year 2015 was big for Binibining Pilipinas. Aside from Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach's historic victory (albeit with an awkward coronation night), her peers performed well in other pageants, too.
