Pia Wurtzbach’s schedule of activities from January 23 to 28

It's a homecoming 42 years in the making. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach will be back in the Philippines on Saturday, and pageant fans are encouraged to come out with Philippine flags in hand to welcome her home.

The beauty queen's whirlwind of activities begins on January 23, and while details are still sparse  (expect more information to emerge in the coming days), here's a rough guide of what Pia will be doing during "Wurtzbach week":

Smile Train, an organization that helps children around the globe get access to cleft repair surgery, has announced that Wurtzbach will be dropping by formally kick off their partnership with the Miss Universe organization.

"I look forward to my homecoming next week and helping to kick off our organization’s new partnership with Smile Train," the organization quoted the beauty queen as saying.

It has also been reported that Wurtzbach asked the Miss Universe organization to extend her stay so that she can attend her friend Pauleen Luna's wedding to Vic Sotto on January 30. — Aya Tantiangco/BM, GMA News
