Ingemar Macarine, known as the “Pinoy Aquaman”, announced on Facebook that he swam 15.15 kilometers across the Bohol Sea “to promote tourism in Baclayon and for clean seas & beaches.”

Macarine said that Sunday's swim from Pamilacan Island to Baclayon, Bohol took him five hours and 59 minutes.

He added that it was his toughest swim to date because of the strong current, which changed direction 14 times, and the heavy seas .
