The critics may not be impressed, but the people have spoken: "Batman v Superman" is a hit at the box office.

In the Philippines, the superhero epic has gone beyond the P200 million mark in three days—faster than both "Avengers" movies, which reached the same ticket sales in four days.

Globally, the film boasts a hefty figure of $501.9 million in five days.

Warner Bros. Pictures. President of Worldwide Distribution Veronika Kwan Vandenberg announced the news on Wednesday, expressing pride in the film's achievement.

“These incredible numbers are building momentum for not only this movie, but for the upcoming slate of DC Super Hero films,” Vandenberg said.
