Pageant coaches reveal a few things that win a pageant—aside from being pretty

Each year, there's a risk of #luto trending on Twitter after the new Binibining Pilipinas is crowned. The early favorites sometimes end up with nothing but confetti in their hair, leaving the audience wondering, "What were the judges thinking?"
Pageant coaches Jonas Gaffud and Bessie Besana revealed the answer to that question in "Faces and Spaces: The Geography of Beauty Pageants" organized by the Geographic Society of the University of the Philippines (GSUP).
We the audience only see pictures and a few interviews, but the pageant goes on even without the cameras. Gaffud and Besana reveal that while knowing how to pose is great, you should also master your walk and your stance—on issues, not just your heels.
And, this may come as a surprise to some, but kindness beats pretty sometimes. Who would've thought?
