Despite bringing pride and joy to the country, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach humbly said on Sunday, "Beauty queen lang ako."

Wurtzbach wrote a lengthy post on her Instagram page, sharing a photo from her first homecoming parade and expressed the love she has for the country. Using the #philippineelections2016 hashtag, Wurtzbach called on the next president to do right by the country and called their attention specifically to the needs of the LGBT community.

"[K]aya po may rainbow sa picture, 'wag n'yo pong kalimutan ang LGBT community," she explained. Aside from a quick greeting for Mother's Day, she mused on the idea of a motherland.

Wurtzbach had earlier expressed a desire to join politics, but for the current election cycle, she disclaimed that she is not supporting any political party or candidate. —AT/ALG, GMA News
