New ‘Moana’ teaser trailer introduces The Rock as demi-god Maui

Boasting songs penned by award-winning songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda ("In the Heights", "Hamilton"), Disney's "Moana" stirs up excitement with the release of its first teaser trailer.

In it, the audience meets Maui (voiced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) as he tries to impress the titular character.

Moana will be voiced by Hawaiian singer and actress Auli’i Cravalho, who tweeted "So excited our teaser trailer is finally here! Can’t wait for you all to see the film this Thanksgiving!"

The Rock similarly felt "proud and honored" to share the first look at "Moana" on his personal Twitter account. — AT, GMA News
