Aspiring beauty queens still have a chance to make their dreams come true as Miss World Philippines and CQ Global Quest continue their search for candidates who will compete for the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the prestigious Miss World pageant.

The final screening of candidates will be held on August 29, Monday, at the B Hotel in 14 Scout Rallos St., Brgy. Laging Handa, Quezon City.

According to the organizers, the Miss World Philippines competition is open to all natural-born women with Filipino citizenship, aged 16-26 years old and at least 5'6” tall.

CQ Global Quest manager Cory Quirino said that a candidate should be a young woman who is “very smart, beautiful, and has a very special place in her heart for charities for Miss World.”

“Nananawagan kami sa lahat ng magagandang candidates, please join Miss World Philippines. You might be the next Miss World,” she added.

The Miss World Philippines organization hopes to complete the official list of candidates on the same day.

CQ Global Quest is joined by GMA Network and Viva as Miss World Philippines' official media partners.

“Masayang-masaya ang Miss World dahil mayroon nang pagbabago sa aming kampo ng Miss World Philippines. Bago na ang aming partner—ang Viva. Alam namin na ang aming pagsasama ay magiging masaya, maayos, at maganda,” Quirino said.

Viva's Jay Montelibano added, “We're looking forward to a bigger and better Miss World this year.”

Quirino is confident that Megan Young's triumph in 2013 will be followed by another victory for the Philippines this year.

“We are not hoping; naniniguro na kami,” she said.

Last year's Miss World Philippines Hillarie Danielle Parungao made it to the Top 10 of the international pageant.

The Miss World Philippines 2016 Grand Coronation Night will be aired on September 25, 10:00 p.m., on GMA Sunday Night Box Office (SNBO).
