Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2016 Maxine Medina wrote messages of support to the beauty queens leaving to compete in their international pageants soon.

At the send-off for Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Jennifer Ruth Hammond, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Nicole Cordoves and Bb. Pilipinas International Kylie Verzosa on Wednesday, Medina read out her letters for each departing beauty queen.

She began with Verzosa, whom she thanked for defending her against bashers.

"Thank you for defending me [against] people who were trying to bring me down," Medina said. "I know that you'll do well in your pageant and always remember that the entire country is proud of you!"

Medina also wrote and read out that she'll be praying for a victory for Hammond: "I, together with our sisters and the entire Binibining Pilipinas organization, will be cheering for you. Good luck!"

On an even more heartfelt note, Medina shared her letter for pageant best friend Nicole Cordoves.

"You showed me the real importance of sisterhood and where our hearts should be. I have seen you work so hard and I will always remember how you've enjoyed helping and loving children," Medina read out loud. "You inspire me to become more optimistic."

"I know you got this," she concluded, turning to all of the queens to say, "I love you guys!"

Bb. Pilipinas Globe Nichole Marie Manalo and Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Joanna Louise Eden were also at the event to give the departing candidates their full support and well-wishes, expressing their confidence in each girl's ability to bring the crown home.
