PHL bet caught on video throwing shade at Miss Earth winner

A video featuring Miss Earth Philippines 2016 Imelda Schweighart throwing shade at the pageant's winner is going viral online.

“Yung nanalo peke ilong, peke baba, peke boobs! Miss Earth, dapat natural,” Schweighart said in reference to Miss Ecuador Katherine Espin, who was crowned Miss Earth.

Schweighart bowed out early during the competition, failing to make it to the top 16, breaking the Philippines' winning streak over the last two years. Jamie Herell was crowned Miss Earth in 2014 and while Angelia Ong won the title in 2015.

Schweighart earlier posted a video on Facebook fitting a yellow gown by Leo Almodal that she was supposed to wear.

It was Espin, however, who ended up wearing the gown during the competition.

Schweighart earlier drew flak for making snide remarks comparing President Rodrigo Duterte to Adolf Hitler. —Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/JST, GMA News
