Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz has been the talk of the town this week after sharing her forecast for the upcoming Grand Coronation Night of the 65th Miss Universe pageant.

According to the former Filipina beauty queen in an interview with government station People's Television Network (PTV), the Philippines' bet Maxine Medina has a chance of winning... but it's "one in a million."

After being asked whether she believes a back-to-back win is set for the country, Diaz gave a short but straightforward answer: "No, but, I think she has a chance, and chance is one in a million."

This forecast has gained attention from pageant fans, earning over 13,000 reactions, more than 3,000 shares, and almost a thousand comments on Facebook since posting on Monday.

While others openly agreed with the former Miss Universe titleholder and commended her for being "honest and real," some wished that she was more discreet on her not-so-positive comment.

There are 12 days to go before the Grand Coronation Night of Miss Universe 2016, and the candidates have been busy touring the Philippines before the preliminary competitions next week.

Aside from visiting pristine beaches in Siargao and Boracay, the beauty queens from all over the world have also gone to Cebu, Vigan, and Binondo—immersing themselves in the rich culture of the Philippines.

On Wednesday, some of the candidates are in Baguio City for a parade, while others will be at a charity event in Pasay City in the afternoon.
