The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) today started selling stamps featuring the country's three Misses Universe Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran and Pia Wurtzbach.

"And to commemorate the Philippines’ hosting of this prestigious pageant, the Philippine Postal Corporation will produce commemorative stamps featuring the Filipina beauties who have brought home the Miss Universe title," PHLPost announced Tuesday.

The Philippines is hosting the 65th Miss Universe coronation on January 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The "stamp-on-stamp" design highlights the three Filipina Misses Universe.

The first and second stamp design, both released in 1994, are of Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz and Miss Universe 1973 Margarita Moran, respectively.

The third design features Pia Alonzo-Wurtzbach, the reigning Miss Universe, which was released only last year.

PHLPost said that the three Pinay beauty queens are part of its Living Legends roster, along with the first Filipina Miss World title holder Meagan Lynne Young and Filipino world boxing champion Senator Manny Pacquiao.

"Living Legends are living personalities aside from the president and elected officials who have been featured on stamps because of the pride and honor they have brought for the country," it said.

The Gloria Diaz design can be bought at P12, the Margarita Moran design is priced at P17 and the stamp design of the reigning Miss Universe is sold at P55.

PHLPost said the Gloria Diaz stamp can be used for ordinary mails within Luzon and the Margarita Moran stamp can be used for ordinary mails for Visayas and Mindanao.

The stamp featuring Pia Wurtzbach are for mails within Asia.

A souvenir sheet containing all three designs can be bought at P100.

The stamps are available in all post offices nationwide. —ALG, GMA News
