Will Maxine Medina follow boyfriend Marx Topacio and join showbiz?

Since Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina will soon be passing the crown to a new beauty queen and as her reign is coming to an end, fans are beginning to wonder if she'll be transitioning from stage queen to showbiz star.

Speaking with PEP.ph on Thursday, Medina said she was not closing doors on the possibility of becoming an actress.

"Well, let’s see kung anong magandang offer and then let’s explore. I’m willing to try anything. I’m open naman," Medina said.

The beauty queen added that she hopes she gets to work with veteran actors and that their talent rubs off on her a little.

Medina's boyfriend Marx Topacio has already been bitten by the acting bug, appearing in GMA Network's hit show "Encantadia" as Azulan.

Following her Top 6 finish at the 65th Miss Universe pageant, Medina took some time off and went on a vacation with her family in Brunei and in Sagada with friends.
