After visiting the House of Representatives to take part in the All Women Session, Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina looked back on her Miss Universe experience.

Maxine is among the chosen few to finish in the Top 6 of the prestigious beauty pageant, which saw Filipina beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach pass on the coveted crown to Iris Mittenaere of France.

In an Instagram post, she shared some of her most shining moments during the Grand Coronation Night, followed by an empowering caption.

“Yes, it takes guts to be the perfect one in the eyes of the judges—make an impact for a few moments and just 30 seconds to prove what you stand for. It was never easy but I did. Some people say that I couldn't but I proved them wrong.”

“My @missuniverse experience has taught me that as a woman, I can be ANYTHING and that I can do EVERYTHING if I put my mind and heart into it,” she added.

Greeting the women of the world, she said, “Happy International Women's Day! Mabuhay ang mga kababaihan!”

After the pageant, Medina said she is not closing doors on the possibility of becoming an actress.

"Well, let’s see kung anong magandang offer and then let’s explore. I’m willing to try anything. I’m open naman," she said.
