With the scenic Machu Picchu in the background, former Miss World Philippines Valerie Weigmann accepted the marriage proposal of businessman-lawyer beau Bodie Pulido.

Weigmann posted a photo of the event in her Instagram account, announcing the news.

"And the highlight of the whole trip... finding my forever in the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu ? After 7 years you sealed the deal in the most excellent way @bodiepulido," she posted.

Pulido proposed at Machu Picchu, which is located in the Andes Mountains in Peru.

Weigmann used to be a co-host of the longtime noontime show, Eat Bulaga! She was in the top 25 in the Miss World 2013 beauty pageant.
