Philippine Mission to the UN dances to VST at the PH Independence Day Parade in NYC
It's safe to say that the Philippine Independence Day Parade in New York over the weekend was quite some party.
Apart from three beauty queens acting like security agents and Valerie Weigmann looking exquisite in her modern terno, the Big Apple got a taste of Philippine disco, thanks to the Philippine Mission to the UN.
Garbed in Barong Tagalog and tradition Philippine weaves, our diplomats took to New York streets, waving small Philippine flags and dancing to VST’s "Tayo’y Magsayawan.”
Ambassador to the United Nations Teddyboy Locsin Jr. was also caught on camera doing a jig.
Judging from the delighted cheers, the surprise number gave the crowd of Filipinos a total thrill.
