Pia Wurtzbach wears her advocacy as a cover ‘kween’ for gay magazine
For Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, every day should be independence day.
The beauty queen is on the cover of Team Magazine this June, wearing her colors proudly, and living up to her promise to champion causes that are close to her heart : spreading HIV/AIDS awareness and standing up to bullies.
"Let freedom reign" the beauty queen said, sharing the magazine cover on Instagram. "Whatever your status or identity, there’s no better time to share what you know and show who you are."
In the featured article, Wurtzbach talks about using her crown and beauty pageants in general to fight for LGBT rights.
As a bonus, the issue comes with a free pull out poster of Wurtzbach wearing a Team Kween sash.
