Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Winwyn Marquez has been busy with pageant activities in Bolivia, but it doesn't mean she hasn't made time to connect with her fellow candidates.

This weekend, Winwyn shared a video of a bevy of beauty queens sending a shout out to the Philippines.

Winwyn is the only candidate from Asia competing in the 2017 Reina Hispanoamericana pageant.

She brushed up on a bit of Spanish prior to flying to Bolivia and although she's not fluent, she believes that the language barrier will not be an issue.

"A lot of people are telling me that baka daw ma-bully or baka daw they're gonna speak in Spanish tapos babanggitin nila Pilipinas. Ang nasa isip ko kasi, what I don't know won't hurt me, so even if they speak in Spanish and kung ako man ang pinaguusapan nila, I can't understand them so hindi ako maaapektuhan," she told the press during her send-off.

"I can still ask, I'm not shy to ask them, because they also speak English. They spoke to me already they said it's okay to not speak in Spanish so wala namang problema dun," she added.

The 2017 Reina Hispanoamericana coronation night will be held on November 4. — AT, GMA News
