Miss Universe Philippines Rachel Peters returns home

Binibining Pilipinas-Universe Rachel Peters returned home on Monday morning after failing to capture the Miss Universe title in Las Vegas in November.

According to a report by Victoria Tulad on "Dobol B sa News TV," Peters plans to spend the holidays in Manila with her family.

To combat jet lag, the Filipino beauty queen who was beat out by Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa for the title of Miss Universe 2017 plans on working out at nearby gyms.

Peters expressed excitement for her plans when her life returns to normal post-pageant but did not specify what these are.

She also praised her namesake for winning the competition, which she claimed was her "greatest achievement to date" in an earlier post on Instagram.

The beauty queen arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport alone as her family and boyfriend flew home ahead of her. — LA, GMA News
