Miss Intercontinental PHL 2018 Karen Gallman reveals new strategy for Q&A

Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2018 Karen Gallman has grown into a more confident queen since snatching the crown at the 55th Binibining Pilipinas pageant. 

Karen has moved forward from her controversial answer during the competition's Q&A portion and has vowed to do better after owning her mistake.

In an interview with GMA News Online during the press launch for the 47th Miss Intercontinental pageant, the Fil-Aussie beauty queen said that she has definitely learned her lesson and that she has a new game plan for the tense section of the pageant.

"I really thought I was prepared for Binibini; I researched all the news, any thing that might pop-up... and then, I get that question and I was totally thrown aback. It's a bit hard to prepare for everything, because it's very broad and very vague — any question can be thrown you," Karen said.

She continued, "But I think you just have to remain calm and whatever question is thrown at you, just think first before you speak. Give yourself time to reflect."

It's easier said than done, she said, because there's a huge crowd looking at you and waiting. "But I think you just have to remain calm and really think and listen to the question," she stressed. 

During the press launch, Miss Intercontinental Organization CEO Detlef Tursies said that he finds Karen charming and commended her for being able to express herself excellently.
