Katarina admits Alyssa gave her a run for the crown: ‘I don't think you need my advice!’

Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez has nothing but respect for her sister queen Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2018 Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez. 

During Alyssa's send-off on Thursday, Katarina made sure to stress to the press that Alyssa has less than two weeks to prepare for her pageant and that's not an easy feat. 

"It's so fast, I cannot imagine having only two weeks to prepare. But as she has shown the country, she is more than capable of representing the country in Reina Hispanoamericana," Katarina said. 

Katarina further shared a story of Alyssa practicing their opening dance at 1am and really pushing herself in every single activity for Miss World Philippines. 

"You gave me a run for my money!" Katarina said, addressing Alyssa.

Katarina added that she was even more impressed because this is Alyssa's first pageant and she was absolutely killing it.

Katarina is a more experienced candidate, having competed in Binibining Pilipinas and the Miss Intercontinental pageant.

Alyssa, Katarina, and Miss ECO Philippines 2018 Maureen Montagne were the top picks of several pageant news sources as possible big winners for Miss World Philippines. 

Having seen Alyssa's performance, Katarina expressed full confidence in her fellow queen. 

"You know exactly what to do, I don't think you need my advice," she said. 

Alyssa will be flying to Bolivia on Saturday, October 20. Katarina will be competing in China for the Miss World crown in December. — GMA News
