Miss World 2018 is Mexico's Vanessa Ponce de Leon

Vanessa Ponce de Leon of Mexico is Miss World 2018, crowned by outgoing queen Manushi Chhillar in Sanya, China. 

Vanessa is the first Mexican beauty queen to win Miss World.

Nicolene Limsnukan of Thailand was named first runner-up. 

Maria Vasilevich of Belarus, Kadijah Robinson of Jamaica, and Quiin Abenakyo of Uganda finished in the Top 5 as continental queens of Europe, Caribbean, and Africa respectively.

Solaris Barba of Panama took Vanessa's title as Miss World Americas. 

Davaoeña beauty queen Katarina Rodriguez bowed out early in the competition, failing to secure a spot in the Top 30.
