Miss Universe Catriona Gray bids 2018 goodbye with a full heart
Miss Universe Catriona Gray bid farewell to 2018, which she described as one of the “craziest, rollercoaster” years of her life, with a full heart.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday (Philippine time), Catriona talked about her memorable experiences the past year, aside from winning the coveted Miss Universe crown.
The beauty queen also reflected on how 2018 changed her and expressed excitement for the coming year.
“Looking back, I can see that I’ve grown so much, as a person, in revelation and in faith. I have so much to be grateful for and in bidding farewell to 2018, my heart is full,” she wrote.
“2019, you’re bound to be one of the most unforgettable years of my life...I’m ready for you,” she added.
Catriona will soon be off to New York, where she will live as she fulfills her Miss Universe duties in the coming year.
Call for donations
However, 2019 didn’t have a good start for all Filipinos.
Several regions were devastated by Tropical Depression Usman, which triggered floods and landslides over the weekend, particularly in Catriona's home province of Albay.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, at least 75 individuals from three regions are feared dead, while 16 remain missing.
In her Instagram stories, Catriona shared calls for donations, using the hashtag #PrayforBicol. — Jessica Bartolome/BM, GMA News
