Catriona Gray will have two parades, because one is hardly enough

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is finally back home and of course, a parade is in order.

But surprise, surprise. The beauty queen will have not one but two confirmed parades: On Thursday, February 21, and then again on Saturday, February 23.

Thursday will see Catriona go around Pasay, Manila, and Makati, starting at the Cultural Center of the Philippines grounds. It will proceed to Roxas Boulevard, make its way to Kalaw Avenue, and then to Taft, Buendia, and finally, to end on Ayala Avenue in Makati. It will start at 2pm.

On Saturday, Catriona will have a welcome parade at the places where her journey to the Miss Universe crown all started: Araneta Center. The parade will start at Novotel to go through the main Aguinaldo Avenue, and around the 35-hectare complex, before making a stop at the Green Gate of the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Float designer Fritz Silorio told Unang Hirit he took inspiration from Catriona’s now-famous lava gown and her Mikimoto Crown.

Fashion designer Mak Tumang meanwhile has been sharing clues as to what Catriona will wear — or at least its inspiration. On his Instagram stories, Mak has been sharing his thoughts on the national flower Sampaguita and the national leaf, Anahaw.
