Vanessa Mae Walters is stripped of her Miss Eco Teen Philippines title

Vanessa Mae Walters has been stripped of her title as Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2019 on Friday, the Miss World Philippines Organization announced.

One of the crowned winners of Miss World Philippines 2019, Walters will no longer represent the country due to "misrepresentation of her credentials", "unprofessional behavior", and "indecency", said the pageant's national director Arnold Vegafria in a statement.

This comes after Walters stated she was only 16 and shared a nude photo of herself on her social media account.

She has also been accused by the organization of walking out on meetings with the national director and not attending the official functions to promote Miss Eco Teen Philippines.

In the statement, Vegafria emphasized that the organization "wishes to maintain high ethical and moral standards and uphold the integrity of the title holders."

Walters, Vegafria said, was "expected to act as an ambassador of the Philippines in the Miss Eco Teen competition, represent the organization in a professional manner, and serve as a role model for the youth."
