SM MOA pays tribute to Philippines’ health care workers
SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City has paid tribute to the Philippines’ health care workers, who put their lives at risk in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a Facebook post on Monday night, SM MOA posted a photo of its globe lit up in blue with the words “To our nation’s frontliners, we thank you!” across its facade to honor the country’s medical workers.
“To all our doctors and health professionals, we salute you! Keep safe and stay strong!” SM MOA wrote.
In a report by Mav Gonzales on “24 Oras,” several concerned citizens also showed their appreciation for the country’s frontliners.
Doctors and nurses from selected hospitals in Metro Manila received food packs with hot meals, cups of coffee, vitamins, and face masks from kind-hearted citizens.
Some packages came with simple messages of gratitude to those who are working hard to help the patients and contain the virus.
"Thank you for being our real life heroes," and "Thank you for sacrificing for the sick," some read.
