Ben&Ben debuts first international single 'Doors'

Ben&Ben gave its fans a pleasant surprise when it suddenly debuted its first international single "Doors" midnight of Thursday.

The single had been set to launch this Saturday, April 18.

On its Twitter account, the nine-piece collective wrote, "Surprise. We're pretty excited about this one."

The hashtag #BenAndBenDOORS climbed to the no. 5 spot on the Philippines' trending list after the launch.

Ben&Ben is set to perform the song live for the first time on Saturday's launch party, which will also serve as a fundraising event for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) response in the Philippines.

Just recently, the OPM band placed #29 on the Billboard Social 50 Chart, beating international stars Cardi B (#31) and Doja Cat (#32). The band boasts of over 500 million streams on Spotify with over 3 million monthly listeners. And just last week, Ben&Ben shared a draft of a new song titled "Nakikinig Ka Ba Sa Akin."

Although they did not mention the meaning behind the song, it seems that the lyrics was also inspired by current events as the country battles COVID-19.

President Rodrigo Duterte placed enhanced community quarantine on March 17 to help contain the spread of the virus.
