Adamson University deploys buses for Makati Med frontliners

Adamson University has deployed three buses to aid in the everyday commute of Makati Medical Center staff.

As the enhanced community quarantine continues to ban mass transportation, the university volunteered the buses, which will run two routes.

On its website, Adamson said Route A covers travels to and from MMC and Paliparan-Molino Road (via Molino Boulevard). Trips from MMC are scheduled at 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. while those on the way to MMC are slotted at 7:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 5 p.m.

This route will have the following stops: Paliparan Market, Jollibee Golden City, Cavite School of Life-Dasmariñas, District Mall-Dasmariñas, SM City Molino, Camella Springville Gate, Shell Gas Station-Pag-asa, Jollibee Molino, Palico Daanan/ Bayanan Road Stop Light, Bacoor City Hall entrance, and Tacaba Elementary School.

Route B has its lone pick-up point at the LRT Monumento Station. Buses from MMC leave at 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 2:30 a.m., and 5:30 p.m., while those on the way to the hospital are scheduled at 7:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m.

Adamson is the latest university to offer aid amid the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine, which has led to the suspension of public transportation, temporary closure of many establishments, and loss of income of many Filipinos.

The Far Eastern University earlier repurposed its gymnasium to serve as sleeping quarters for frontliners and staff of the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).

The Ateneo de Manila University had also donated medical supplies to healthcare workers in Metro Manila.
