How you can apply to be SM Entertainment's next K-pop star

One of South Korea’s leading entertainment companies is currently accepting auditions for popstars online.

According to SM Entertainment's announcement on Instagram, aspiring K-pop artists "regardless of nationality, race or gender" born between 2000 and 2010 can send their auditions online or via email.

For email auditions, applicants are asked to attach a video file of themselves dancing; a music file of themselves singing dancing; face shots (frontal/side) and photos without any photoshop or retouching done.

The title should specify the applicant’s name/age/gender/category in this format.

Applicants from Southeast Asian countries aside from Indonesia were asked to send their email auditions to smaudition@smtown.com.

SM Entertainment is one of Korea’s largest entertainment companies who produced big names in the K-Pop industry, including the groups EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, Super Junior, Girls Generation and many others.

The company holds online auditions to cater to applicants who "have talent but cannot participate in on-site auditions such as public audition and global audition."
