Spongecola performs quarantine single 'Lumipas Ang Tag-araw' on 'Unang Hirit'
Spongecola has just released another foot-tapping love song, this time inspired by the past few months of quarantine.
The Filipino alt-rock outfit virtually stopped by “Unang Hirit” to talk about their new song "Lumipas ang Tag-Araw," and how it was going to take more than quarantine to stop them from making music.
“It’s called ‘Lumipas ang Tag-Araw’ and it’s a quarantine love song,” vocalist Yael Yuzon said. "Love will find a way."
Many OPM artists were badly affected after the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic took a toll on the live music scene.
Spongecola, however, were able to make good use of their time by continuing to make music to lift the spirits of their fans in quarantine.
"Lumipas Ang Tag-Araw" was released on digital platforms last July.
