BTS' 'Dynamite' returns to No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

BTS’ "Dynamite" has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The K-pop group's smash hit debuted on the top spot last September 5 and stayed there for the September 12 chart before spending the next two weeks at No. 2.

As of Billboard’s report on Monday, "Dynamite" was back on top with 14 million streams and 152,000 downloads in the week ending September 24.

At the same time, the track entered its fifth consecutive week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart.

According to Billboard, “Dynamite” had some help from four new remixes released last September 18, namely “Bedroom,” “Midnight,” “Retro” and “Slow Jam” which accounted for 52% of the song’s overall sales in the tracking week.

The Hot 100 chart blends all-genre U.S. streaming, radio airplay and sales data.

BTS first dropped "Dynamite" late August with a music video that shattered a YouTube record for the most views in 24 hours.

The seven-member South Korean group had virtually performed their new English single on several international platforms this year, including the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards and "America's Got Talent." —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
