‘No more beauty pageants for me,’ says Michele Gumabao
Michele Gumabao, the second runner-up in the Miss Universe Philippines 2020, has revealed that the pageant is going to be her last one.
In an article by PEP.ph on Thursday, Michele cited her age as the reason. “Unfortunately po, because of my age, there will be no more beauty pageants for me,” she said.
The beauty queen, however, said she’s going to be busier these days because she had to fulfill commitments she missed during the competition.
“Aside from being part of Miss Universe Philippines, I never neglected my duties as a professional athlete, also as a businesswoman,” Michele said during the E-skwela event attended by the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 winners, their first public event together.
“’Yung two weeks po na nasa Baguio kami, medyo ngayon ko po hinahabol lahat ng trabaho, lahat ng responsibilities na na-put on hold. So, medyo busy,” she added.
Michele also revealed that she would be involved in many new projects soon.
“This is the beginning of even brighter journey because I have a lot of different businesses to bring in to the Philippines,” she said.
“And now, I have the time to do so. I have also another career that I’m eyeing for,” she added. “In God’s time, I’ll reveal everything.” – RC, GMA News
