Miss World unveils Top 40 candidates ahead of March coronation

Miss World has officially announced the Top 40 contestants that will be competing in the finals this March.

Among them is Philippines' own Tracy Perez, who had secured her spot in the Top 30 after her win at the "Head to Head" challenge back in December.

She was also among the Top 5 of the Beauty with a Purpose Round.

The Top 40 will be returning to Puerto Rico for the grand coronation night, which has already been postponed multiple times due to the "health and safety interests of contestants, staff, crew, and general public."

Tracy had flown to Puerto Rico in November for the competition prior to its postponement.

In December, Miss World announced that its 70th edition will now be held on March 16.

Miss World 2013 Megan Young remains the only Filipina to ever win the title. —JCB, GMA News
