A family in Cainta, Rizal, needs help for their burn injuries caused by a fire explosion due to an LPG tank leak.

According to “24 Oras” Friday, seven members of the Duclay family were hurt in the fire.

FO3 Ken Tolentino of BFP Calabarzon said someone was cooking nearby when the LPG tank leaked.

“Ang lakas po ng sirit ng gas doon sa tank mismo,” said Fe Duclay Agustin.

Fe said she covered the cylinder with a wet cloth, but it was too late because her back was already caught in flames.

Five members of the family, including young children, were rushed to the hospital for second degree burns and pneumonia.

“There’s no need for surgery however they had to be admitted and hydrated and then we do dressing every day, we apply burn cream with antibacterial properties,” said Dr. Ana Patricia Protacio, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery fellow-in-training.

As the family members continue to treat their wounds with burn ointment, they are seeking help especially for their loved ones who are still at the hospital.
