Paul Soriano to direct Marcos’ first SONA

Paul Soriano will direct President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s first State of the Nation Address, according to House Secretary General Mark Llandro Mendoza.

As reported by GMA News’ Tina Panganiban Perez, Mendoza also revealed that “an individual from Ilocos” would sing the National Anthem.

Mendoza said a total of 1,365 personalities were invited to attend the SONA, including Vice President Sara Duterte, former presidents, vice presidents, speakers, and Senate presidents.

They also invited diplomatic corps, justices, and members of the Marcos Cabinet.

More than 21,000 security personnel will be deployed for the SONA, according to the National Capital Region Police Office.

A gun ban would also be imposed in Metro Manila from July 22-27 to guarantee security during the SONA, the police said. – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
