60-year-old lola from Binangonan, Rizal is now an elementary graduate!

A 60-year-old lola just proved that it’s never too late to reach one’s dreams.

According to Oscar Oida’s “24 Oras” report Tuesday, Letecia Domondon from Binangonan, Rizal, finally graduated from elementary recently. She said it was a one-of-a-kind experience.

Letecia admitted she had a hard time, but she was grateful that her family helped her persevere.

Letecia stopped studying when she was 12 years old. She worked as a house helper to help her parents and never had the chance to go back to school.

Iyon ang naitanim sa aking puso’t isipan,” she said.

The graduate added that she and her husband did not want their three kids to end up like them. Through the couple’s hard work, their children were able to finish their studies.

Letecia is now preparing to enter high school. She is determined to finish her studies and go abroad.

“Naka-enroll na po ako sa high school. Gusto ko pong ipagpatuloy iyong aking pag-aaral. Wala pala sa edad ang pag-aaral. Kung magnanais ka lang mag-aral, mangyayari pala,” she said.

“Makapunta man ako sa kinaroroonan ng aking bunso sa Canada, baka sakali doon, makapagtrabaho ako kahit may edad na kasi dito sa Pilipinas, iyong [ganitong] edad, wala nang tumatanggap.”
